Why Ballyfin Eggs?

Pasture Raised.

Our hens are free to roam and forage the pasture surrounding their hen house. The hens are gradually rotated around the field so they get access to fresh grass while the grazed land has time to regenerate. Rotational grazing keeps the land healthy, produces a more nutrient dense egg, prevents disease, and keeps our hens happy and healthy.

Closed Loop System.

We are working towards creating a closed loop nutrient cycle, which is where the nutrients are recycled within the farm. The hens’ droppings are used to fertilize the land which eventually will grow the food to feed the hens. A closed loop system eliminates the need for harmful chemical fertilizers and is a sustainable system for food production that promotes soil biodiversity and plant health.

Nutrient Dense and Delicious!

Did you know that pasture raised eggs have twice as much omega fat, three times as much vitamin D, four times as much vitamin E and seven times as much beta carotene than a caged egg? This not only makes them healthier for you but it's also why our eggs are so tasty!
